1994-95 St. Louis Blues Mask Back-Up / Game-Ready – Curtis Joseph

Curtis Joseph
1994-95 St. Louis Blues
2nd Back-Up Mask

Hand Crafted by: Jerry Wright
Hand Painted by: Marlene Ross (Brown)

There were originally five of these masks created. Two were hand-made by Jerry Wright and the others were stock Itech masks. This is one of the two made by Jerry and came directly from him. Originally intended to be sent to Cujo if one of the other two were damaged, it would remain with Jerry after Cujo’s trade to Edmonton.

Jerry is one of the class-acts in the business. His original Itech Profile design would become legendary. It’s seen today in the NHL as the Bauer Profile. Jerry still makes hand-crafted masks. In my humble opinion, they are far superior to what you can buy at the store. I would highly recommend reaching out to him if you need a new mask.

Curtis Joseph’s actual game worn mask can be seen in the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame exhibit in St. Louis, MO at the Scottrade Center.

FUN FACT: Each of the original five masks had slight variances in the paint scheme! No two were identical!
